Genesis 4:8

And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

1. Cain talked with Abel, presumeably about their offerings and the LORD's reactions.
2. Cain became angry with Abel and murdered him while they were out in the field together.
