Genesis 3:23

Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.

1. The LORD God sent Adam (and Eve as well, I presume) out of the garden of Eden to begin life as a farmer.
2. It stands to reason that the LORD God must have told Adam something about farming before sending him off to do it. Otherwise, they might not have survived. And what did they eat in the mean time - did they farm during the day, and return back to the garden for lunch, dinner, and a good night's sleep, or was their ejection from the garden immediate and complete, forcing Adam and Eve to subsist on roots and berries until the crops came in? These questions are not addressed.
