Genesis 4:3

And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.

1. Cain eventually offered some of his crops to the LORD.
2. Members of Adam and Eve's family made offerings to the LORD.
3. The phrase, "and it came to pass", for which the Book of Mormon is so infamous, is used here for the first time (one of about 224 times) in the Old Testament.
