Genesis 2:10

And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

1. A river flowed east from Eden to the garden in which the man was placed.
2. The river provided water for the plants in the garden (probably for the man and animals as well).
3. After flowing to the garden the river split into 4 branches.
