Genesis 1:15

And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

1. The sun, moon and stars were also created to provide light for the earth.
2. The sun, moon, stars and other heavenly bodies visible from the earth were created as God commanded.
