Genesis 3:6

And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
  1. Eve recognized that the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was good for food, was pleasing to look at, and would make a person wise.
  2. After weighing the pros and cons to a certain extent (it's not clear whether she believed the serpent's claim that they would not surely die), Eve ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
  3. Eve gave Adam some of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
  4. Adam took the fruit from Eve and ate it.
  5. Husbands tend to follow their wives when it comes to diet or other things that are good for them.
  6. Question: why did the serpent approach Eve instead of Adam?
